Toyota Gazoo Racing confirmed today in Helsinki Jari-Matti Latvala joins to the team. Latvala drove this season on Volkswagen. Other diver will be Juho Hänninen, who was unveiled already earlier in October. Esapekka Lappi will be test diver for Toyota. He is WRC 2 champion from this year.
Toyota WRC rally car based for Yaris.
Head of the Toyota Gazoo Racing team is legendary Tommi Mäkinen, who is one of the most successful WRC driver of all time. He has won four WRC championship. Mäkinen has also lot of experience of building rally cars. He has tested new Toyota rally car also himself.
WRC rules will change a lot for season 2017, so it will be interesting to follow what will happen.
