Manila Bike Festival and Trade Show 2015

Manila, Philippines. Manila Bike Festival and Trade Show is annually the biggest motorcycle event in Philippines. Last two years 2013 and 2014 the venue has been SMX Convention Center, but this time it was in World Trace Center.

Event:  Manila Bike Festival and Trade Show 2015
Venue: World Trade Center, Pasay, Metro-Manila, Philippines
Date:    21 - 22nd of March, 2015

I came to World Trade Center about middle of the day and there was more than 100 people in the line to ticket booth. Luckily everything worked quickly. Ticket for the event was 100PHP/2€.
Yamaha had biggest stand this year in the show. When I came to the stand the was just show starting and bikes were still under the covers.
There was first dance show and in the same time the covers were removed. In the same time the Yamaha girls came to the stand.
Yamaha country manager had a speech and he also had a big news, that Yamaha start finally import also big bikes to Philippines. So far Yamaha has imported only max 155cc small bikes. Yamaha will inform later which models they start to import and also when.

My favorite model from Yamaha was this MT-09.
Yamaha has just released new Tricycle scooter in Philippines. It has two wheels on the front and one back. There pictures show the idea how it works.
Looks interesting and would be fun to test ride.

Yamaha girl.
Elder Yamaha model with surfboard.
If Yamaha had large stand, unfortunately Honda was totally opposite for it. Something good there was anyway. Honda starts to import Click scooter, which has now fuel injection. There has been already many year fuel injected models on the market for example in Thailand, but for some reason they don´t import the best scooter models to Philippines. Yamaha has same problem. Best scooter models are missing in Philippines.
Honda is now last japanese motorcycle manufacturer, which doesn´t import the big bikes to Philippines. I think this will change soon, because Yamaha already change the policy.

New parts for your bike?
The real big news for this year in the bikes is Kawasaki´s H2. There are two different versions of the bike. Street version has 200hp and track version has 300hp. Both models are super charged. Price in the Philippines is 1,300,000PHP/26,800€ so the bike is not cheap.
 Posing.
Ducati had Diavel and few Mosters on the stand, but unfortunaly new Scramblers were missing.
KTM had several Duke models. 390 would be interesting choice also for Manila street. It's as light and nimble like 125cc, but much more power. Price in Philippines 299,000PHP/6175€.
If Duke 390 is light and nimble, Victory Vision Tour is something else. First I looked it´s Honda Goldwing. There are quite much similarities in some angles. Victory is real long distance tourer and have to say it looks quite cool.
Color matters. Even in the rims.
This is very simplified bike and it looks pretty good.
Koso girls.
Looks like Manila Bike Show has developed to right direction and there are all kind of bikes. Not only small bikes, what is possible to see everywhere.

Mika
